Personal Brand Development Seven-Step Framework 1. Define your Strengths.“Who Am I?" Strengths are the intersection of passions and skills. Have you heard the same compliment repeated to you by your peers? This may be a strength quality; jot this down below. (Ex. Have you been told you are superb about paying attention to detail; that you display integrity or professionalism?) You could be a good cook or one who is organized. 2. Define your Target Audience. Describe the audience who needs to be aware of your personal brand? Who is your broadest-based audience, i.e., women, men, families, children, teachers, etc.? From within that audience, can you find a target population? (Ex. 3. What are the needs, wants, problems, and desires of my target audience and how do my strengths align to satisfy them? List strengths from answers #1 above into column #1 below. 4. Assess your Competition and determine what distinguishes you as an expert in your field (sets you apart).Personal SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats.) Carve out your niche. Avoid the ‘flavor of the month’ response.
